Transient Overvoltage Protector up to 20Kv for series mounting

When operating electronic components for electronic lightingIn the case of overvoltage protection, it is often necessary to provide additional protection against overvoltage. These overvoltagesalso known as mains transient surges, can have very different causes. They can be created by inductive switching of loads, by atmospheric discharges such as lightning strikes on the network or ground or by voltages induced across parallel cables when using phase cut controllers.

The protection modules reduce overvoltages at the connection terminals of electronic components. Any residual voltage is reduced to an appropriate protection level in relation to the discharge current.

The modules guarantee a very fast energy discharge.

In the event that the protection module of the LED luminaire  is affected by an overload voltage, the connected module will cut off the current path. This disconnect function facilitates end-of-life detection of the protection module, allows for quick replacement by maintenance personnel, and provides reliable protection for the LED lighting and its electronic components.
